Returning to In-Person Worship Services?
Your church council is working on a plan for offering a safe version of in-person worship with a tentative start date of May 23, Pentecost.
The council is meeting weekly to make plans for this to be a reality, but it will take all of us working together to make it happen.
This service will be offered with modifications that follow CDC guidance.
There will be guidelines on mandatory mask-wearing and social distancing to protect our brothers and sisters from illness.
We will need volunteers to help deep clean the church building before we return.
We will continue to offer the parking lot and recorded services for people who can not or are not ready to return to the building.
There will be time changes to the worship services so that everyone can worship in a way that makes them comfortable; however, we do not have specifics at this time.
While it would be easy to allow the changes to create anxiety and complaining, we encourage everyone to set your goal as one of growing the Kingdom of Christ and focusing on our unity.
We have made it through a lot in the last fourteen months and we can make it through this, too.
We ask for your patience & prayers as we carefully navigate these unchartered waters ahead of us.
Pray for the needs of your fellow parishioners and visitors, pray that we make changes that honor God. Pray that everyone stays healthy and well and as Christ said,
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2.
Also, if you are willing to help, please call the church office to be put on a list of volunteers.
Sincerely, Your Church Council: Pastor Kristy, Nancy Carr, Tim Preston, Tammy Widdows, Kathy Meitzler, Lesley Miller, David Svegel, Lesley Mast, Barb Miller, and Darcy Tracey.
